Event Details

BNC-INT’L is delighted to invite you and your guest to its co-sponsored event.

Following a breakfast, Mexican-US cross-boarder experts will introduce and explain the state of the Mexican real estate industry (commercial, raw land, recreational, 2nd-home, CO2 exchange, residential, timeshares).

Covered topics, but not limited to, are:  legal / notary ramifications, title search issues, appraisals, cross-cultural business communications, sales and investment tax concerns, financing, sales/marketing, auctioning, leasing/renting, construction, property management, talent search, development.

Company representatives from “Grupo Tres Marias” will present a Mexican real estate case study.

Obviously this event is NOT limited to professionals involved with across our southern boarder property dealings only. It is geared to anybody involved in any type of international property business. It is also a great opportunity for the novice who is keen to mingle among veteran experts and to further gain hands-on understandings of what real estate business opportunities and challenges in a foreign country are all about.

Ultimately there will be a question and answer session and ample time for networking and deal making. Certainly as a tradition, bring plenty of your business cards with you and pass them out freely.

Pre-announcement: BNC-INT'L Summer Social (*) Date: a Sunday afternoon in August of 2009. (TBA)

This casual event is for your family & your internationals friends & business prospects. It'll be on the public grounds in Oak Brook, IL- the site where polo has been played for eighty-three (83) years.

Highlights are a high-goal equestrian polo match (Argentina vs. USA), an annual tradition for a number of years, followed by a bike polo demonstration game.

At the 1908 London Olympics bike polo and at the 1936 Berlin Olympics equestrian polo had been played as demonstration sports. We hope our social event will have another favorable impact on Chicago, for being the selected city of the 2016 Olympics.

VAK POLO CUP (Bernhard Groth)

I wonder if I may ask you to give me a helping hand. With this polo event I like to very much continue helping my friends - the little Princesses in Haiti - ? Too many still live with 1 million Haitians in tent cities, even these days.

Some of you may know that just 4-days after the last year’s earthquake in Haiti I decided I need to do something.

Initially 3/4 million U.S. $ worth of donated medical goods an ever growing group of friends of mine shipped from Chicago via rental truck to Miami and then on a 100-ft. schooner to Haiti. Another shipment via a sea container followed and a 3rd one is in the works right now. If we do not rescue and ship these goods, they would end up in landfill at 60 U.S. cents/pound. My friend, that still happens every day.

For this year’s polo game I wonder if you can find some gently-used pillowcases in your house.

Starting with last year's VAK POLO CUP and coupled pillowcase drive fortunately some 500 pillowcases were collected and converted by volunteering sewers and non-sewers in ½-day hands-on workshops to 1-of-a-kind dresses. Ultimately they were all  hand-delivered to orphanages in Haiti. Obviously all dresses are now proudly worn by some 500 “models”, aged 2 – 5 years. For many of them it was their very first dress ever.

I'm fortunate to have arranged again FREE entry for this year’s polo to attend. Naturally in the event you might bring 1 or 2 gently-used pillowcases per spectator with you, I will be very happy about it. Thank you very much. I also make sure that you get the very best spot on the field to view the game.

Finally if you learn during the next 6 months a still functioning sewing machine, which a person does not need any more - please e-mail me. I am in the process on setting up a fashion design department as part of a newly built art center in Jacmel (Haiti).

Thank you . . .  Bernhard Groth   VAKconsultant@Hotmail.com
